
Jeff Weintraub, principal, has worked three decades as a communications strategist and tactician on programs that support public policy advocacy and burnish the public profiles of organizations and leaders. He brings to clients strong relationships with journalists at top-tier media outlets, earning high-profile national and international coverage. And he offers extensive experience creating and executing communications campaigns, shaping branding programs, preparing leaders for media interviews, writing articles and speeches, and managing diverse project teams and budgets.
Prior to founding Weintraub Communications, Jeff was a Senior Vice President and Partner at FleishmanHillard International Communications in Washington, D.C. There he played a leadership role on dozens of programs for a diverse range of U.S. and international clients (see list below) and a wide variety of public policy issues and institutional communications needs.
Jeff also worked for more than a dozen years in both Chicago and Washington, D.C., for the American Jewish Committee, the international public policy advocacy and research organization. At AJC, he managed programs on a broad spectrum of domestic and foreign affairs issues, with an emphasis on promoting dialogue and collaboration among ethnic and religious communities. He began his career in Chicago as a writer and editor for trade and community publications.
With an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University’s Program in American Culture, Jeff also holds a Master’s in Urban Planning And Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His wife Audrey Lyon is the Executive Director of Yachad, a Jewish community development organization in Washington,and they are the parents of three adult children. Jeff is also a vocalist who performs jazz in D.C.-area venues.
