GAVI, THE VACCINE ALLIANCE provides vaccines for millions of children in developing countries, and it manages the COVAX Facility, which aims to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to lower-income countries. Weintraub is responsible for Gavi’s North American media outreach and communications strategy. Results include: interviews and the placement of Op-Eds in leading North American media outlets, such as The New York Times, The Washington Post,  Wall Street Journal, NPR, MSNBC/NBC News, CNN, CBS News, PBS, ABC News, Associated Press, The New Yorker, World Affairs Podcast, Miami Herald, WLRN Radio, VOX, USAToday, TIME Magazine, The Hill, POLITICO, The Atlantic, Science Magazine, Scientific American, ThomsonReuters  STAT News, and Foreign Policy magazine.  Weintraub also assists Gavi’s International Finance Facility for Immunisation with messaging and content creation.

GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION is the largest multilateral organization dedicated to strengthening the primary education systems of dozens of developing countries. Weintraub provides: strategic communications guidance and message development, outreach to top-tier media, writing of major documents, Op-Eds, speeches and longer articles, interview preparation for organization leadership. Results include: Op-Eds and interviews in The New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, CNN, Foreign Policy Magazine, The Guardian, Refugees Deeply, Huffington Post, ThomsonReuters Foundation’s Trust.org, World Affairs Podcast and the 2014 Commonwealth Ministers Reference Book.

THE WORLD BANK. Weintraub has written numerous articles about development projects and trends in multiple South Asian countries for the Bank’s South Asia Region group, as well on global health and human development for the Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population program.

WORLD FOOD PROGRAM USA. Weintraub has written articles and provided media relations for this U.S. organization which raising funding and political support for the United Nations World Food Programme.

Crow, president of Arizona State University, and Shelly Esque, vice president and director of the Corporate Affairs Group at Intel Corporation, on the value of foreign aid to Arizona and to American academic needs; an Op-Ed in The Tennessean Lt. Gen. Norman R. Seip (Ret.) by on how U.S. foreign aid is part of the solution to our border crisis; an Op-Ed in The Hill Newspaper by former Sens. WOMEN FOR WOMEN INTERNATIONAL empowers women in conflict regions around the globe. Weintraub helped plan and execute strategy around a series of announcements and initiatives.

THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION. Weintraub provided media outreach, speech writing and interview training for the private-sector arm of the World Bank.

International Policy Organizations

ALLIANCE IN SUPPORT OF THE AFGHAN PEOPLE. ASAP brings leading national security, foreign policy and humanitarian leaders together to advocate on U.S. policy on Afghanistan. Weintraub has coordinated media relations and social media for the organization. Results include interviews with and coverage in outlets such as, The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, POLITICO, Foreign Affairs, NPR, Bloomberg News, Washington Post, Financial Times, AP, Reuters, PBS NewsHour, Washington Monthly, Defense One, Los Angeles Times, The Hill, Skullduggery Podcast, The Daily Beast and Voice of America.

AFRICA CENTER FOR STRATEGIC STUDIES. Weintraub provided interview training, media outreach and communications counsel for this think tank at National Defense University. Results include: an Op-Ed placement in the Financial Times by Ambassador Princeton Lyman of United States Institute of Peace and Africa Center director Kate Almquist Knopf on strategies to end South Sudan’s civil war. Also, coverage in the Wall St. Journal) of an Africa Center report on African corruption.

EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY. Weintraub provided a range of strategic and tactical support – including cultivating relationships with top-tier foreign policy journalists – in support of the Embassy in D.C. Results included: extensive coverage from leading U.S. and global media outlets, creation and growth of one of the most successful social media programs among Washington-based embassies, creation and support of major public diplomacy events.

EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE. Weintraub led a team that provided strategy and execution of media relations for the Embassy in Washington.

Domestic Advocacy and Social Innovation Organizations

noncomMUSIC ALLIANCE.  The Alliance highlights the essential role more than 730 public radio stations play in promoting strong music ecosystems in local communities across the U.S. Weintraub drafted several dozen profiles of public radio music stations for the Alliance’s website, as well as a report that described breadth and depth of public radio music stations’ activities nationwide.

THE WILDERNESS SOCIETY. Weintraub drafted and placed OpEds for TWS leaders focusing on important public policy debates affecting land and ocean conservation. Those articles appeared in The Washington Monthly, The Tacoma (Washington) News TribuneThe Hill Newspaper, The Grand Junction Sentinel, The High Country News, and The Durango Herald.

FRESH PRODUCE ASSOCIATION OF THE AMERICAS. Representing U.S. packers and distributors of Mexican-grown produce, FPAA is a leading voice on aspects of U.S.-Mexican agricultural trade policy. Weintraub has secured coverage of FPAA’s spokespersons and reports in major U.S. news outlets including The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg News, BBC and NBC News.    

SAFER CHEMICALS HEALTHY FAMILIES is a national coalition focused on regulating toxic chemicals. Weintraub drafted and published Op-Eds in newspapers in Illinois, Michigan, Massachusettsand New York about the stakes of pending federal legislation that will update and improve regulation of toxic chemicals that appear in household products.  

AMERICAN GRADUATE is a public media initiative that raises awareness about strategies to reduce the high school dropout rate. Weintraub pursued media opportunities for the initiative and drafted a guide to public media stations for promoting media coverage in their communities.  Results include: Op-Eds in the Washington Monthly and The Hill newspaper.

RUDERMAN FAMILY FOUNDATION advocates for disability inclusion and improved American Jewish-Israeli relations. Weintraub provided communications strategy and helped draft and place Op-Eds. Results include: an Op-Ed by Jay Ruderman, President of the Foundation, in Chronicle of Philanthropy on the importance of foundation advocacy;  an Op-Ed by Cong. James Langevin (of Rhode Island) and Jay Ruderman in the Providence Journal on what’s next for the Americans With Disabilities Act; an Op-Ed by Jay Ruderman in The Hill Newspaper on the problem of police abuse of people with disabilities; an Op-Ed on CNN.com’s opinion page by Jay Ruderman and Jo Ann Simons on what the Germanwings disaster says about the stigma of mental disabilities.

J.M. KAPLAN FUND launched a new JMK Innovation Award to 10 social entrepreneurs in 2015 and 2017. Weintraub managed traditional media relations more than a dozen media markets across the U.S. and social media. Results include coverage from major national and local news outlets and drafting and placement of Op-Eds in 2015 and 2017 the Chronicle of Philanthropy by Amy Freitag and Peter Davidson, executive director and president, respectively, of the J.M. Kaplan Fund, on the need to support early-stage social innovation.

NATIONAL WOMEN’S LAW CENTER. Weintraub helped develop an Op-Ed for NWLC President, Fatima Goss Graves, that appeared in the New York Daily News in July 2018

Science and Technology Organizations

CLOSER TO TRUTH is a North American public TV series on cosmology, consciousness and meaning. Weintraub provided media relations support. Results include a regular series of articles by Closer to Truth host and founder, Robert Lawrence Kuhn, that received hundreds of thousands of page views in Space.com.

KING ABDULLAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY is a research university in Saudi Arabia launched in 2009.  Weintraub led global media relations and message development, wrote articles and speeches and conducted interview training.
